Greg Norton

Senior Project Designer, Architecture

A native of South Portland, Greg holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from the University of Maine as well as a Master’s in Architecture from the Rhode Island School of Design. After a stint in Boston doing design work for regional higher-ed institutions, Greg found his way back to Maine where he has held a diverse mix of roles that include nuclear facility design, renovations for the GSA, enclosure evaluation of 200-year churches, and running details through thermal energy modeling. Throughout his career, Greg has developed a deep appreciation for sustainable, responsible design and will leverage this passion working to enhance and scale Knickerbocker Group’s Prefabrication Division.

Greg is passionate about being proud of his work, being a strong role model to his daughters, and being a good steward for a sustainable built environment. When not designing, Greg enjoys coaching softball, playing disc golf, camping, and dabbling in pen & ink sketching.

KG CULTURE, MISSION + VALUES

From day one, Greg has appreciated Knickerbocker Group’s commitment to its employees, not just based on being an ESOP but the effort taken to maintain the culture, built over 40 years of existence, into a company that has doubled in size within the past three years. Greg also appreciates the company’s local commitments to regional organizations, charities, and civic scenes.

LIFE IN MAINE

Bringing the family to Wolfe’s Neck Center for a pumpkin hayride, camping in the pop-up at South Arm campground near the Rangeley Lakes, drinking some of the world’s finest beer within a 50mi radius, swimming in Little Sebago, and disc golfing in the woods.
