Kara graduated from Northeastern University with a B.S. and M.S. in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Structural Engineering. Following graduation, she spent many years working at a structural firm focused on commercial building design. While there, Kara gained experience working on a variety of projects including additions to existing hospitals and designs of high-rise buildings in the heart of Boston. A Maine native, Kara is thrilled to be back in her home state and a part of the Knickerbocker Group team. In her role, Kara partners with the architecture team to analyze, advise and design safe and effective structures. A careful listener and detail-orientated collaborator, Kara takes great pride in being a resource for her peers and our clients. In her free time, Kara enjoys cooking, crafting, listening to music, and is looking forward to spending more time in the Maine outdoors after years of living in the city.
