Peter Nadeau

Project Designer, Interiors

Peter has over 30 years of experience as a master finish carpenter and architectural designer. He spent 21 of those years honing his skills as an exhibit designer and Project Manager, working with prestigious institutions such as the New England Aquarium, the Boston Museum of Science, the Smithsonian, United States Naval Academy, PIXAR, United States Park Service, Peabody Essex Museum, and Mount Vernon Visitor Center. Prior to his extensive career in exhibit design, Peter worked for 3 years with HUTH Architects, where he began to develop his deep knowledge in architectural design.

A polymath, Peter possesses a vast and varied skillset that has allowed him to engage with an array of projects. His expertise extends to architectural design, materials, and fabrication techniques. His keen understanding of flow and movement, meticulous attention to detail, and intuitive use of color, balance, and proportion enable him to create unique and inviting environments tailored to each client’s needs.

Outside of his professional life, Peter enjoys exploring the endless landscapes of Maine. Inspired by the natural beauty around him, he captures all the elements of the world we inhabit. He can often be found making delicious food, seeking out new photography subjects, or simply laying under the stars at his home in Newcastle.

KG culture, mission + value

Peter loves the diversity of the people at Knickerbocker Group, all their experiences combined, give the team a wealth of knowledge. The get-it-done-spirit everyone embraces at the final push of a project is invaluable. Lastly, the annual Lobster Bake is a highlight for Peter, alongside the family dynamic we embrace at KG.

Life in Maine

Spring nights listening to the peepers gazing at the Milky Way. Walks on Popham beach any time of year. The bounty of the local farmers, from the oysters of Damariscotta River to the fresh cheeses from Koons Farm.

Waking up here every morning.
