Valery’s passion for architecture began at an early age and her enthusiasm for good design is apparent in everything she does. After beginning her career in Architecture, Valery earned a master’s degree from the International Space University in Strasbourg, France, and went on to work as a safety engineer at NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston as well as the French Space Agency. Inspired by her love of Architecture, Valery returned to the field—working in both residential and commercial design/build and traditional architectural firms in the Washington D.C. area before relocating to Maine. She is licensed in Maine, Washington D.C., Virginia, and Maryland.
At Knickerbocker Group, Valery wears many hats, and her role is in perpetual evolution. In addition to designing and giving direction to junior designers, Valery also works “behind the scenes” to streamline operations within the department as well as on business development projects.
When she isn’t working or remodeling her home, Valery can be found outdoors, boating, skiing or hiking with her family.
KG CULTURE, MISSION + VALUES
At Knickerbocker Group, Valery appreciates the family-orientated company culture and quality work-life balance.
LIFE IN MAINE
After many years spent living in big cities, Valery is grateful to be closer to her roots and her family. She truly enjoys all of Maine’s seasons, the peace and quiet, being outside…the simple things.
