Is a Prefab Pod a finished house?
Yes! Unlike many other modular and prefabrication offerings in the state, Knickerbocker Group’s Prefab Pods are 100% complete, move-in-ready homes and living spaces. If you are interested in a more tailored option, our custom home solutions may be the better fit.
How does Juniper differ from Aster?
We offer two sizes: the 500-square-foot Juniper and the 800-square-foot Aster. Juniper is a 1BR/1B and Aster is a 2BR/1B. Both have open-layout living rooms and kitchens, and Aster has an added dining room.
What does “turnkey” mean?
We are the only firm in Maine to offer comprehensive turnkey services from “land-to-linens.” We manage the entire process along the way, providing cost information and services as needed so that our clients can make an informed decision.
Can I purchase a Prefab Pod as a shell and finish it myself?
Not currently, although it is a possibility in the future. If this is of interest to you, please let us know—we will adapt our offerings based on consumer demand.
What can a Prefab Pod be used for?
A Prefab Pod can be an accessory dwelling unit (secondary home on your property), primary home, art studio, bunkhouse, office space, workshop, storage—whatever you need!
